Terms of Service

Welcome to MySpaceRent. By using the platform (website & app) you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What the platform is

MySpaceRent is an online marketplace connecting Hosts (people offering spaces: parking, storage, meeting rooms, event venues, etc.) with Guests (people renting them).

Important: we are not the owner, operator or a party to the rental. The rental contract is concluded directly between Host and Guest. We provide the technology, payment facilitation and support.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and have legal capacity.
  • Your details must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • One person/entity per account. Accounts may not be transferred.

3. Host obligations

  • You have the legal right to offer the space and hold any required permits or licences.
  • Listing information (description, photos, location, price, availability) must be accurate and not misleading. Photos must show the actual space.
  • You are solely responsible for your tax and social-security obligations, including declaring your income.
  • You honour confirmed bookings and the cancellation policy you selected.

4. Guest obligations

  • Use the space only for the agreed purpose and within the agreed time.
  • Follow the house rules and the law.
  • You are liable for damage caused by you or your guests.

5. Bookings, prices & payments

  • Bookings are made per hour, day, week, month or year, depending on the listing.
  • Some listings are instant book; others require Host approval — in that case you are not charged until it is approved.
  • A cleaning fee, deposit and a platform service fee may be added. The full breakdown is always shown before payment.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card details.
  • The platform retains a commission from the Host (a percentage per category) and may charge a service fee to the Guest.

6. Cancellations & refunds

Each listing has one of these policies, shown before you book:

  • Flexible — full refund up to 24 hours before the start.
  • Moderate — full refund up to 5 days before; 50% up to 24 hours before.
  • Strict — 50% refund up to 7 days before; none afterwards.

Refunds are issued automatically via Stripe to the original payment method.

7. Prohibited use & content moderation

Prohibited without limitation: illegal activity, misleading or fake listings, abusive or hateful content, pornographic or sexual material, harassment, spam, circumventing the platform to avoid commission, and automated data collection (scraping).

Content (text, photos, messages, reviews) is subject to automated AI screening and human review. We may reject, hide or remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms.

8. Reviews

Only a Guest with a completed and paid booking may leave a review — one per booking. Reviews must be honest and relevant; manipulation is prohibited.

9. Liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings or the suitability of any space.
  • We are not liable for damage, injury, loss or disputes arising from the use of a space.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Any liability is limited to the commission we received for the booking concerned.

Nothing above limits rights that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. consumer rights, fraud or gross negligence).

10. Disputes between users

Disputes between Host and Guest are settled between them. We may assist as a mediator, without obligation and without assuming liability.

11. Term & termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the law. Pending bookings and obligations remain in force.

12. Changes

We may amend these terms. Material changes will be announced on the platform or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

Greek and European Union law applies. The courts of Greece have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules. For consumer disputes you may use the EU ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
